 RECREATION DEPARTMENT
POOL MANAGER (Seasonal) Salary Range $9.50 - $12.02 Hr.
High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience working in an aquatic setting is preferred but not required. Must have 3 months supervision experience or one year as a school teacher and must possess current certification in CPR and First Aid. Requires effective written and verbal communication skills, ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment, ability to deal effectively with the public and possess an outstanding customer service attitude. CPRPR (CPR for the Professional Rescuer) LGI, LG, WSI and WSIT preferred. Open until filled

HEAD LIFEGUARD (Seasonal) Salary Range $8.50 - $9.95 Hr.
High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience working in an aquatic setting is required. Candidate must possess current lifeguard training certifications from one of the following: American Red Cross, YMCA or Ellis and Associates. Must be willing and able to become certified in American Red Cross criteria at the earliest date possible if possessing YMCA or Ellis certifications. Also requires current CPRPR (CPR for the Professional Rescuer) and First Aid certification.

SWIM TEAM COACH (Seasonal) Salary Range $7.35 - $8.60 Hr.
Position requires effective oral and written communication skills, knowledge of and ability to demonstrate current swimming techniques, training methods and competition rules. Coaching certification preferred. Must be 16 years of age and possess a valid Texas Drivers License.

LIFEGUARD (Seasonal) Salary Range $7.35 - $8.60 Hr.
Position requires a working knowledge of aquatic activities, life guarding, CPR and first aid, must possess current lifeguard training certifications from one of the following: American Red Cross, YMCA or Ellis and Associates. Must be willing and able to become certified in American Red Cross criteria at the earliest date possible if possessing YMCA or Ellis certifications. Some lifeguard experience preferred, but not required. Must have effective oral communication skills and be a strong swimmer. Must be at least 16 years of age.

CASHIER (Seasonal) Salary Range $7.00 - $8.18 Hr.
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of proper cash handling procedures. Must be friendly and dependable, possess the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, ability to deal effectively with the public and possess an outstanding customer service attitude. Must be 16 years of age and possess a valid Texas Drivers License.

RECREATION DEPARTMENT
RECREATION COORDINATOR ASSISTANT Salary Range: $7.64 - $8.94 Hr.
Seasonal - Part Time
High school diploma, GED or 2 years full-time equivalent experience as a recreation aide/instructor required. This position will focus on and attend to the daily operations of The Center and its programs including opening and closing duties, customer service in person and on the phone, assist with registrations of all department programs, set up and break down for various activities. Performs and supervises general maintenance and housekeeping duties at the Center. Hours vary.

RECREATION COORDINATOR ASSISTANT (TRS) Salary Range: $7.64 - $8.94 Hr.
Seasonal -Part Time
High school diploma, GED or 2 years full-time equivalent experience as a recreation aide/instructor required. This position will focus on and attend to the daily operations of Totally Rec'd Summer including opening and closing duties, conduct, evaluate and monitor recreational, social and educational programs for youth, set up and break down for program activities, and maintain appropriate program documentation. Performs and supervises general maintenance and housekeeping duties at Totally Rec'd Summer location. The position will report directly to the lead Recreation Coordinator Assistant. Typical program hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm. Position will work between 20 and 40 hours per week.

RECREATION ASSISTANT Salary Range: $7.00 - $8.18 Hr.
Seasonal -Part Time
This position serves primarily as support to the Recreation Coordinator Assistant at Totally Rec'd Summer but will also require working some special events. Essential functions include monitors RISD facilities during scheduled program, assist in conducting, evaluating, and monitoring various recreational, social and educational programs, assist in the opening and closing of the facility including safety checks and assist with general maintenance and housekeeping duties. Typical program hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm but hours can vary to include days, evenings and weekends. Position will work between 20 and 40 hours per week.

PARKS DEPARTMENT
SEASONAL / PART-TIME POSITIONS
MAINTENANCE WORKER Starting Salary: $7.00/hr.
Must be 16 years of age and have a valid state driver's license. Position performs ground maintenance such as mowing, weed eating, edging, and planting.
. Considerable knowledge of the various types of manual, gas, or electrically powered tools, equipment, and machinery employed in maintenance, installation, and/or repair of municipal parks, ball fields, playground equipment, fences, irrigation systems, and related structures.
. Considerable knowledge of occupational safety rules and practices associated with performing duties in traffic and adverse weather conditions.

PARKS DEPARTMENT
MAINTENANCE WORKER (Part-Time) Salary Rate: $8.00/Hr.
Must be 16 years of age and have a valid Texas state driver's license. Candidate must be able to work with little to no supervision and possess the ability to utilize a variety of hand tools and equipment in the performance of tasks.
This is a part-time position working 18-20 hours on Saturdays and Sundays only.
. Cleans all City Parks facilities, including restrooms.
. Drives to and from all city parks.
. Interacts with customers and city staff in a courteous and professional manner.
. Ensures a safe work zone by proper use of signage and cleaning chemicals and equipment.
. Utilizes various cleaning, disinfecting chemicals and compounds.
